Canvas_quizzes Task Compile_js Not Found

Instructors tin can create online assessments (quizzes) using Canvas' New Quizzes tool. This guide shows how —

In a Canvas course, go to Quizzes

Click "+Quiz"

Choose New Quizzes as the Quiz Engine

[1] Select New Quizzes.

Note: You tin can reset your quiz engine selection from the Quiz Options menu at any time.

Edit the quiz details

[one] In the Title field enter the name of the quiz or exam.

[2] In the Points field, enter the total points possible.

  • If you want to create a practice quiz or an ungraded survey, set the total points to zero "0".

Set Submission Attempts

The default number of Submission Attempts allowed is "Unlimited". To prepare a specific number of attempts, apply the dropdown menu to select "Limited".

Assign the assessment to students

[1] In the Assign To field, select who volition exist required to accept the cess. Y'all can assign the assessment to everyone, to individual students, or to class sections.

[ii] In the Due field, select the assessment due date. Students volition see this every bit the assessment due date and fourth dimension.

[3] In the Available from field, select the date and time that you desire students to be able to admission the assessment and submit to the cess.

Save (or Save & Publish) the assessment

If you click "Save", the assessment will exist saved but volition not be visible to students.  A grade column volition be created in the Canvass Gradebook marked "unpublished".

If you lot click "Save & Publish", the assessment will be visible to students, merely students cannot see quiz questions or begin the quiz until the "Available From" date and fourth dimension.

If the cess is published, and a student clicks on the quiz name (or a link to the quiz) earlier the "Available from" date and fourth dimension, the pupil will see a message stating "This assignment is locked until appointment/fourth dimension."

A published cess will generate a grade column in the Canvas gradebook.

Note: Once you take saved the Cess Details, the only way to continue editing the assessment details is to get to the Quizzes tool in the course, click the Options icon (3 vertical dots), and choose "Edit".

Once the quiz is either Saved or Saved and Published, the Quiz "Build" folio for that quiz is displayed

The Build folio is where you access the settings and questions for the quiz.

[one] Click Return to go back to the Quizzes folio

[2] Click the Expand Question Navigator icon to view an outline of the quiz.

Annotation: There are no Sheet site tools visible on the Build Folio. You must click "Return" to get back to the Quizzes page to meet the rest of the site tools.

Edit the championship and instructions for the quiz

[1] The Championship of the cess is automatically taken from the Assessments Details completed earlier. You lot tin edit the championship here past clicking the Championship Edit icon (pencil).

[2] Enter Instructions for the cess by clicking on the Instructions Edit icon (pencil) to open up a Rich Text Editor window. These are general instructions for the whole assessment.

Note: If the assessment is published and the Bachelor From date has passed, the pupil will be able to encounter these instructions before they click the "Start Quiz" push button.

[three] To add questions to the assessment, click  the "+" at the bottom of the Build page.

Add or create a question

To add together additional questions, click the Plus  (+) icon at the bottom of the folio

Use the Question Navigator to view attributes of each question

In the Question Navigator you tin view:

[1] Each question number
[ii] Each question type
[three] Each question point total
[4] Each question stem
[five] Full question points

Click on a question'southward stem to view it within the assessment

[1] To view a question in the assessment, click the question stalk. Y'all will be taken to the question within the assessment.

[2] To manually reorder questions, click and hold the Move icon (small grid of eight dots). Drag the question to where you want it to display in the assessment.

To preview the quiz click "Preview"

Note: When you lot preview the quiz, yous are viewing it every bit a student sees it.

Submit the previewed quiz to see a "Results" bulletin
